LULLACRY Press Ahead Despite Vocalist Departure
May 26, 2002Finland's LULLACRY have finished composing about eight new songs and have "a pile of ideas for new ones", according to main songwriter/guitarist Sami Vauhkonen, who added that "we haven't stopped the writing process [since the departure of vocalist Tanya], but of course it has slowed [things] down a little bit, 'cause we are doing auditions."
LULLACRY are presently seeking "a good singer and cool person" to replace Tanya, and are not interested in simply finding a 'Tanya clone", reiterated Vauhkonen. "We've already checked out some talented and nice girls and more will come."
Provided that the group find a suitable singer, plans exist for LULLACRY to release a new single at the end of this year and a full-length album in early 2003.
